Job Specifics
Duties Description As a Constituent Services Liaison, you will be responsible for managing and responding to casework correspondence, providing thoughtful and effective assistance, and ensuring that constituents feel heard and supported in addressing their concerns. The role demands an individual who thrives under pressure, can prioritize tasks, and demonstrates unwavering persistence in advocating for the needs of the community.The role will focus on addressing a wide range of constituent needs, from housing concerns to public assistance, discrimination complaints, and quality of life issues.

Minimum Qualifications Key Abilities & Qualifications:
? Proficiency in Spanish: Strong speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish are required. The ability to converse with and assist Spanish-speaking
constituents is essential to the role.
? Empathy and Patience: Ability to engage with constituents who may be facing difficult situations, demonstrating kindness, patience, and a solutions-oriented attitude.
? Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent time management, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple cases and tasks simultaneously.
? Persistence & Diligence: Ability to follow through on constituent requests, staying dedicated to resolving issues even when the process is challenging or requires multiple steps.
? Knowledge of Local Issues: Familiarity with the diverse, multicultural, and immigrant communities in the district, and understanding the unique challenges they may face in accessing services.
? Tech Savvy: Comfortable using Google Suite applications and casework management tools to track and document constituent issues.
? Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to express the values and priorities of a deeply progressive elected official, both in writing and through personal interactions with constituents.
? Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work as part of a team, engaging with other staff members and community organizations to support the needs of the district.
Preferred Experience:
? Experience with casework or constituent services in a political or governmental setting.
? Familiarity with issues affecting immigrant populations, including public assistance programs, housing, education, and employment discrimination.
? Fluency in additional languages (Bangla, Arabic, Greek, or Urdu) is a plus, but not required.
